Why We're Special Leadership Staff Board of Directors BGC America

We Love Our Kids! That's Why We're Special.

There are four key characteristics define the essence of a Boys & Girls Club. All are critical in exerting positive impact on the life of a child:

1. Dedicated Youth Facility
The Boys & Girls Club is a place in an actual neighborhood-based
building  designed solely for youth programs and activities.

2. Open Daily
Our Club is open every weekday, after school, when kids
have free time and need positive, productive outlets.

3. Professional Staff
Our Club has full-time, trained youth development professionals,
providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key
supplementary support.

4. Available/Affordable to All Youth
Our club reaches out to kids who cannot afford, or may lack access to, other
community programs.

Since 2006, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Victor Valley has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances.  Boys & Girls Club has actively sought to enrich the lives of girls and boys that other youth agencies fail to reach. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Victor Valley is more than sports,  it is dedicated to ensuring that our community’s disadvantaged youngsters have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures as productive citizens.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Victor Valley have provided children with a positive place to go, results-oriented programming and a professional staff to guide them.

Last year, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Victor Valley served more than 250 young people through its Clubs, summer and outreach programs.

Clubs are located in communities with the greatest need where similar services are limited or nonexistent. In order to serve effectively those who need us most, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Victor Valley asks families to pay annual membership dues of only $25 per child and no child is turned away due to inability to pay. A private, nonprofit organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Victor Valley improves young lives as well as the communities that surround and support us. The organization relies upon private, corporate, individual and United Way funding to fill the gap between membership dues and operational expenses.
